How do you "culture"?
Let's find out how to shape data culture in organisations, starting with the data team.
Welcome to this week's Five Data Points.
I'm Dinuraj, and I want to share with you five interesting articles I've read this week that I believe will be valuable to you.
1 - Have you every been frustrated that the organisation is not data-driven?
2 - Shaping culture bottom-up
3 - Building culture needs soft skills
4 - Scheduled on-call duty boosted productivity and aided planning in teams I’ve worked in
5 - I think it is a very smart move by Databricks
Universal format means we are generating metadata for all three projects–Delta, Hudi, Iceberg– inside Delta. Metadata is very cheap. The expensive part is all the big data, and that’s only stored one time in a format called Parquet.
I hope these articles enriched your thinking with fresh perspectives and deeper insight. Let me know if any of the articles especially resonate with you, or you have topics that you want explored further.
If you found any value in this at all, do pass it along to your friends and colleagues who you think might benefit from it.
Thanks for joining me on this journey of expanding our knowledge about data. I'll see you again next week with more to learn.
