How do you do data documentation?
Let's find out where do we start with data documentation.
Welcome to this week's Five Data Points.
I'm Dinuraj, and I want to share with you five interesting articles I've read this week that I believe will be valuable to you.
1 - A primer to approaching data documentation
2 - Why does documentation matter?
3 - An example of a company managing their documentation
This is just one example of an implementation. You should do whatever is easiest for your organisation to get started and has the least friction to keep the ball rolling.
4 - I like managing ingestion pipelines as code
This is where Meltano won me over - pipelines-as-code as their core offering.
Great that Airbyte has followed on the idea finally. Though, it is sad that it is not for the open source version.
If you’re using Airbyte Cloud, do consider moving to managing with terraform, and share with me your experience!
5 - Did you know…?
I hope these articles enriched your thinking with fresh perspectives and deeper insight. Let me know if any of the articles especially resonate with you, or you have topics that you want explored further.
If you found any value in this at all, do pass it along to your friends and colleagues who you think might benefit from it.
Thanks for joining me on this journey of expanding our knowledge about data. I'll see you again next week with more to learn.
